From two employees to over 450 in just 15 years—the history of Xenios Hospitality Holding is nothing short of an impressive success. A look back—and ahead
On March 1, the Hotel Caro & Selig at the Tegernsee opens and construction begins for LOISIUM in Alsace. LOISIUM celebrates 20 years.
2022
Joint Venture
LOISIUM Champagne opens its doors on August 1. The SORAVIA Group enters and Xenios Hospitality Holding is founded as a joint venture. SORAVIA adds the hotels Hospiz am Arlberg, Caro & Selig am Tegernsee and Mayburg in Salzburg to the Xenios portfolio. Number of employees: approx. 450.
2019
Growth
Acquisition of the Berlin-based hotel consulting company HCB (Horwath HTL), which is renamed and incorporated into MRP hotels, evolving into an industry market leader for the DACH region. Number of employees approx. 150.
2018
Expansion
The team acquires the LOISIUM operating company and secures the naming rights. Foundation of mDrei Holding and incorporation of MRP hotels and LOISIUM Holding into mDrei Holding. Xenios Management is founded as an independent company, which runs LOISIUM hotels and supports MRP hotels. Number of employees: approx. 140.
2012
New partners
Michael Regner brings Martin Schaffer and Mustafa Özdemir on board as partners. Schaffer bolsters MRP Hotels with his hotel consulting expertise, while Özdemir augments the company with his experience and know-how in hotel operations and business development. Number of employees: 8.
2008
Beginnings
Michael Regner leaves his position as Area Director Finance Germany at IHG to co-found MRP Hotels with Herbert Mascha, which focuses on asset and project management. The duo moves into an office at Getreidemarkt 14 in Vienna 1, which remains the company headquarters to this day. Number of employees: 2.
